The Chemical Brothers : Live At The Social vol 1

The Chem's came along in the early/mid 90’s and were one of those groups who put the disparate musical strands together and came up with a sound you’d already been looking for ( c.f. Jesus and Mary Chain).

I’d already caught the last knockings of their residency at some dingy toilet off Oxford Street and therefore genuinely was in at the beginnings of their Turnmills residency.

Trouble was, of course, that musically, big-beat was a bit of a blind alley; but we only found that out after the third album.

Anyway, Mr Google implies that this is a bit of a rarity, and, as it very accurately sums up their set in those days (ie prolly a lot funkier than you’re used to), Ladeeez and Gennlemen please put your hands together for “Live At The Social mixed by The Chemical Brothers”.
