Repo Man OST

Following on from last weeks "Iggy gone panto" shock-horror post got me thinking about the last time he did anything decent and came up with the title track to Repo Man.

Which got me on to the soundtrack.

Which I couldn't find in the loft so off to Mr Branson's Finest Vinyl Emporium I go.

1.  Repo Man - Iggy Pop
2.  TV Party - Black Flag
3.  Institutionalized - Suicidal Tendencies
4.  Coup d'Etat - The Circle Jerks
5.  Clavo y la Cruz - The Plugz
6.  Pablo Picasso - Burning Sensations
7.  Let's Have a War - Fear
8.  When the Shit Hits the Fan - The Circle Jerks
9.  Hombre Secreto (Secret Agent Man) - The Plugz
10. Bad Man - Juicy Bananas
11. Reel Ten - The Plugz

Wadda ya mean, ya never seen Repo Man!!!!!

Wiki it please, and save me having to do a cut'n'paste job.

OK, checked it out? So you know it's Emillio Estevez at his finest (not saying much I know but . . . ), Harry Dean Stanton at his seediest (cf Alien and Paris Texas) and produced by an ex-Monkee

Now find a free Wednesday and go and rent it from Blockbusters, grab a load of beers  on your way back (something decent, preferably in a bottle), insert DVD, press play, open beer and enjoy.

If you're 14, then you'll prolly want to sample Bad Man about 4.40mins in (so I'm led to unnerstand natch).

Personally I've always like The Plugz's tracks on this one (bizarro Mexican punk /twangy stuff), never been able to find out much about them or even if this
stuff was representative.

Edited to Add : and waddya know, a couple of months later Last Days Of Man On Earth comes up with the goods! . . . http://lastdaysofman.blogspot.com/2007/07/plugz-electrify-me.html

Thank you x 10. I've been looking for this for ages. I can't believe you've never seen the film! My initial reaction is "go rent/buy it immediately". That would be my reaction 20 yrs ago. Today, I feel it has dated (natch)but is still an important artifact of the era and should be seen. Let's just say it's Alex Cox's best film (and maybe Mr Estevez's too).

The Plugz did the soundtrack to NEW WAVE HOOKERS II - yes, the porno. It wasn't much like the Repo Man, more new wavey, but still not bad. They had a corny tune called 'I Want Your Squirt' that I never forgot.
